Playing the Game

To set up the game, open the shark's jaws and push them down until they lock into the base. Place the 12 sea creatures into the holes between the jaws.

Players take turns rolling the dice to see how many creatures they need to catch with the fishing rod. Once a sea creature is hooked, pull it up and hope that the shark won’t bite you!

When the shark jumps up and closes its mouth, the player with the most fish wins!

My little ones have enjoyed playing this game. It's easy to set up and the game is a great length for younger ones. You lock the sharks mouth in place and fill it with the sea creature. If you pull the wrong sea creature out, the shark will "bite". I also love that it doesn't take batteries.

We bought this as part of a week's worth of beach themed activities for my grandkids aged 3 and 6. They loved it! The suspense of wondering if their turn fishing was going to be the one to make the shark 'bite' was hilarious, and the laughing and giggles and surprised yells are so much fun to listen to. A snap to put together - literally, you push the mouth open and snap the head down into position until you hear a click, and snap the fish/creatures into place inside the shark mouth, then put the stickers on the dice and you're ready to play.
